Last updated: September 2026. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Tessamark software and services operated by Gavware Limited, New Zealand.
By downloading, installing, or using Tessamark, or purchasing a licence, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download or use the software.
Free Edition: The free tier of Tessamark is provided for individual evaluation and personal use with full local Markdown editing, math and Mermaid previews, and local git version history without expiration.
Pro Licence: Purchasing an individual Pro licence grants you a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to unlock Pro features (including remote git sync, end-to-end vault encryption, visual diff timeline, and AI pairing) across all platforms you personally use. There are no recurring subscription charges.
Team Licences: Team licences grant a perpetual licence pool for a fixed number of concurrent seats. Team administrators may reassign seats between active team members within their purchased quota.
Our order process is conducted by our online Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Ltd / Paddle Payments Ltd). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all online orders placed on this website.
Paddle handles customer service inquiries, billing compliance, invoicing, and returns on our behalf. Prices are stated in USD (with local currency conversion provided by Paddle) exclusive of applicable taxes, which are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.
You retain 100% ownership, copyright, and control over all notes, files, vaults, and intellectual property created or managed using Tessamark. Gavware Limited asserts no ownership or rights over your content.
Tessamark, its logos, and the underlying code are the intellectual property of Gavware Limited. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble binary distributions except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Tessamark enables direct connection to third-party services, including your own git remotes (such as GitHub or GitLab) and third-party AI APIs (such as Anthropic or OpenAI). You are solely responsible for compliance with the terms, conditions, and billing of any third-party credentials you configure.
Tessamark is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gavware Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising out of or related to your use of the software.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
